Of course every aviation project has it's ups and downs.. Forgive the joke but I must say you guys. Did excellent with the a320 family and you are doing even better with this and I cannot wait to get hands on with the brilliant result

Well I didn't mean to start a "'war' of the Roses"....guess I shouldn't be a politician eh? :P

How be we just focus on PA's progress? god knows that won't hurt anyone here :)

Take your time, people. I have plenty to keep me occupied, and I like surprises anyways.

This is EXACTLY why i wanted you guys to stop this ..

So Chris.. should you honestly be warned for trying to stoke a fire?? From the looks of it, you've successfully managed to get official NLS members buy into your ploy.

You wont have it so easy here.

The only thing that impresses me about the NLS is the detail of the pilots

Either way guys, take your time and sort out your personal issues first. Like I said, we've waited long enough now, so that extra bit longer wont do us any harm.

Agreed 110%.. Not that I don't give a damn about the A380 as I highly respect the amount that everyone working on it has been through, but I currently have more important things in my life at the moment that I'm more excited about than the A380. I have finals in about a week, and will be an uncle for the first time by the end of the month. The fact that finals help shape my future, and being an uncle is more or less like being a dad, just less midnight feeding and diaper changing (or so my uncle himself has said) is more characteristic of my life than painting a few A380s for everyone's enjoyment.

So once i get past this patch of mixed emotions of excitement and and nervousness, I should be ready for the A380. Apart from that, I've got an A320 or two to bang out on to Avsim to help retain my sanity (or lack thereof). ;)

As for the NLS A380, I have followed it, but I like the philosophy of the freeware that PA is making, for it encourages development of additional things in the community to make the A380 better (i.e. panels, soundsets, etc.)

sorry I thought you studied in the Usa . your summer holidays start when :) ?

"to which one of the PA people replied "that is news to me"....pffft. Okay so PA is a reputable developer and makes good products, but they should be a little bit more open to their competition. "

NLS developpers are nice and doesn't want at all to start a fight they even admitted that pa's external models are (as always for me ;) ) nearly perfect, but I seriously think that they have their own cards too (gauges, advanced system,..).

your starting a war for nothing...between talented enthusiast freewares developpers and serious hard-working payware dev....in a word your a little never-satisfied jerk sitting on his chair with his pizza and beer complaining on both sides and degrading P.A's name. Do you realise that if they were more jerks like you the fs community wouldn't even existed. STOP this right now I'm ""on the pairbus side"" that's my right and the minimum is to respect both side's hard work (and i think they're really fed up of this).

Demetris (aka DT) has always drawn flak for his own personal opinion.

& It's always been two faced people who play both sides that seem to be drawn to misusing statements by 1 member as policy statements from the group & successfully portraying that image to people who would naturally have a problem with it.

In this case, Demetris may be an official member of Project Airbus but that does not mean he is NOT entitled to his own personal opinion. It does not give anyone & should definitely not give anyone the impression that the rest of Project Airbus has endorsed it as a group statement. Yet that is exactly what seems have been the case with one 2 faced doofus playing both sides against the other by ratlling up general members on our forums & making one sided comments on the other.

It's the same with everything else.. sports for example will have their team members say they're better than the opposition. How is that bad? But does that mean that it is endorsed by everyone? Or that he's being "dismissive" of the rest?

Anyways i knew this would happen & I just have to say if people wanna amuse themselves by bickering & playing monkey games, they can. We dont have time for these idiotic things & time (whatever is left of it) is better spent on our work left to do.

Topic locked. Sheldon's right, keep your opinion to yourself, or if expressed, don't flame on others (whether PA, NLS, POSkt e.t.c.).

Jebus people, can't be too difficult to keep it civil. Don't exacerbate things for the faint of heart.

I'll clean it all up later and we can get back on track.
